RESERVATION, PAYMENT, ATTENDANCE, AND CONDUCT POLICIES
Nettuno Italian Academy
By making payment for any course, module, level, or class through our website, the student (or their legal guardian) acknowledges, understands, and unconditionally accepts the following commercial and academic terms and conditions:
1. No Refund Policy for Absences or Withdrawal
80% Attendance Requirement
Our classes and programs are designed to ensure progressive learning. To maintain active student status and be eligible for any evaluation or certification, students must attend at least 80% of all scheduled in-person or online sessions.
Student Absences
If a student fails to attend classes or their cumulative attendance falls below 80% of the total course duration, no refunds, reimbursements, transfers of credit to third parties, or financial compensation of any kind will be granted under any circumstances. Attendance is the sole responsibility of the student.
Voluntary Withdrawal
Partial or complete withdrawal from a course for personal, professional, or any other reasons unrelated to the academy does not release the student from their payment commitment and does not entitle them to any refund.
2. Reservation of Seats, Dates, and Schedules
Guaranteed Seat
Course payment guarantees the exclusive reservation of a seat in the selected group, schedule, and dates. Since class sizes are limited to ensure teaching quality, students may not request changes to their group or schedule once classes have begun, unless exceptional availability exists and written authorization is granted by the academy administration.
Excused Absences
Absences due to serious illness or force majeure, properly supported by a medical certificate or official documentation, will be reviewed by the Academic Director to evaluate possible alternatives for content rescheduling (not individual live class makeup sessions or refunds).
3. Cancellation or Modifications by the Academy
In the exceptional event that Nettuno Italian Academy must cancel the opening of a group, substantially modify the proposed schedule before the course begins, or suspend a course due to force majeure or insufficient enrollment:
- Students will be notified as far in advance as possible.
- Students will be offered a transfer to another group or an equivalent course.
- If the student does not accept the proposed alternatives, the academy will refund 100% of the amount paid within no more than 15 business days, using the original payment method.
4. Validity and Expiration of Credits/Balances
Any payment made for individual courses, class packages, or group modules is valid for a maximum period of 60 consecutive calendar days from the date of purchase.
If the student does not begin the course or schedule their individual sessions within this 60-day period, the balance and entitlement to the service will automatically expire, and the amount paid will be forfeited without the right to any future claim.
5. Intellectual Property and Study Materials
All educational materials, texts, methodologies, videos, class recordings, access platforms, and digital resources provided by Nettuno Italian Academy are the exclusive intellectual property of the academy or are used under authorized license.
It is strictly prohibited to record classes without explicit consent, as well as to reproduce, distribute, sell, share access credentials, or otherwise disseminate educational materials to third parties. Violation of this policy will result in the immediate termination of the student's enrollment without refund, and the academy reserves the right to pursue any applicable legal action.
6. Code of Conduct and Right of Admission
Nettuno Italian Academy promotes an environment of respect, tolerance, and mutual collaboration. Any form of disrespect, harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior toward teachers, administrative staff, or fellow students will not be tolerated, whether in face-to-face classes, virtual classrooms, or official communication channels.
The academy strictly reserves the right to suspend or permanently dismiss any student who disrupts order or violates these basic standards of conduct. In the event of dismissal for disciplinary reasons, no refund of any kind will be provided.
